Information about this blog

Hi there, people!

I know, we missed out last Wednesday again. Sorry about that.
You see, we've been discussing lately.

Life took another unexpected turn and instead of us being three people who had time left for this place (which was the intention, obviously), we're now three persons who don't have time or energy to push this up and forward.
Also, new sketch blogs and challenge blogs are popping up like crazy all over the internet and we sort of feel like we don't really have that much to add to them, because they're all fab!
(There's a link list in my blog, if you need some challenges and/or sketches to get you started.
I might even make a post here of them, later. /Z)

Therefore, we've decided to put this blog on hold indefinitely.

We might be back, so keep that bookmark - but don't expect it to be in the next few months.
So... Sorry to say - this is the final post in this blog for at least quite some time, and we hope you've enjoyed yourelves as much as we have.
It's been a pleasure!

Lots of love,
Zarah, Jeanette and Annika

Ps. The blog stays online, of course. There's so much amazing work and inspiration to be found here, still.

Oh look!

We're sort of featured!

The scrap challenge blog MojoHolder decided to scraplift Tammy Tutterow. As you might remember, Tammy was a guest designer on this blog a while back (Thanks, Tammy! You rock!) and the fun bit is that they decided to lift the LO she made for us!

Check it out!

Isn't that cool?!

A teensy tinsy....

....presentation might be called for!

The adorable Zarah asked me if I wanted to help out updating and sketch for this blog and ofcourse I said YES!! I mean, Zarah has always been one of my scrapbooking gurus and to work with her on this blog is very honoring!

My name is Annika and I live in England with my husband (*ihhhh* still feels strange writing that!!) and our two Maine Coon cats, Mozart and Wagner. Most people probably know me as DrAnnika, which is my name on most forums and blogs!

When I am not blogging, readin/posting on forums, scrapbooking, cardmaking, watching Dr House or Scrubs, learning how to cook english food or reading I am in medical school here in England :).

I have been scrapping and cardmaking for a few years now and I am starting to feel that I "landed" in my creativity. I know what I like and what I feel comfortable with. Like most other scrappers I am a little hamster and love to horde all my scrapbooking things, and am a sucker for new things and new trends! I have a love for pens, and my husband still wonders how many pens one girl needs.... *smiles*

I think that is how much I am going to share with you for today - now I am off to do the things on my to-do-list and then off to the scrapping table to make a few cards - remeber Valentine's Day is coming up and Hubby deserves a card, doesn't he?

Lots of love!!

Annika

Wednesday the 11th of february

Today it is time to show you a sketch from Jeanette a.k.a. Tettiz.

We also have our talented Ewonne that has made a layout form this sketch, and isn't it LOVELY?

All that warm feeling from Ewonnes is going to come and warm me up here in England - we have very cold weather and actually a bit of snow!!

If you are creating any layouts from Tettiz sketch - please don't forget to mention in your blog where you got the sketch from!

Late Wednesday update

This week's sketch is one made by me, Jeanette, and hopefully it can inspire you to be a little bit creative. Get your patterned papers and decos out and start scrapping - this could be used both for layouts and cards, I believe:

What are you waiting for? Make yourself a nice cup of tea, and get scrapping, now! :D

Take care!

Time for a sketch!

So you thought we'd abandoned you? No way! :D Here's a treat for you - coming all the way from England:

Photobucket

This week's sketch is made by Annika and the interpretations by Jeanette and Zarah herself - a sketch that looked "easy" from the beginning, but turned out to be harder than I thought. After some pulling out papers and decorations and shuffling them back and forth, I finished the LO, late last night - and I'm happy I took the time to do it. It reminds me of our beautiful wedding day and the love I feel for my husband, David.

Well, enough babbling from me, I'll let you see the LO now:

Photobucket
The title says: "The 2 of us"

Here is Zarah's go on the sketch - a beautiful card:

Photobucket
I just looooove her cards and LOs - keep 'em coming! :D

...and she does... Here's yet another card made from the sketch - she's on a roll now!

Photobucket

Amanda has contributed with her go on the sketch - a wonderful LO with her sweet, sweet son:

So, when can we see your interpretations of the sketch?? ;D

Have a lovely Wednesday!

So it's Wednesday...

...and that means that I should update, right?!

Of course I will, too!
These beautiful pieces of art are made for the challenges I posted last time. The first LO and the card (I added the detail pictures too, because they're just so good) are made by the very sweet & talented Lene - she used the kit Virkelig Vintage (meaning "Very Vintage") from her kit shop Ecclectic kits for them both.
Doesn't that just look yummy?!

The blue layout is made by the amazing Maja who's beautiful style you might recognize, since been a guest designer here before.

Thanks to you both for playing along!
:D

Some inspiration?

Hi everybody!

To celebrate my first post in this blog I thought I'd share with you my version of one of Z's wonderful sketches in the previous post - I also found it appropriate to scrap about the brilliant blog owner, so without furter ado:

Photobucket

The title says "Concrete babe", and the text says "Behind her sunglasses she can be herself", which is very strange to translate into English, since it is a quote from a well-known Swedish pop song... ;)

I'm really looking forward to seeing YOUR interpretations of the sketches!

Happy New Year to you all!

I am gonna start this year with some good news.
Since I have been unable to keep this blog rolling and running the way I intended, I asked two of my very bestest of friends (and fave scrappers/card makers) to join me in keeping it going - aaaaand to my delight, they accepted!

So... give it up for Tettiz and DrAnnika (a.k.a Jeanette and Annika) who are my new co-authors of this blog!

To celebrate, here are two new sketches and two challenges to get you started with your Scrappy New Year.

Apart from my sketches (originally drawn as one for cards and one for LOs but that's up to you to interpret as you wish) you can see my photo of a willow, right? The colours were extracted from the photo using this brilliant web site, and I'd like for you to create a card or an LO or something altered using those colours.
No - you don't have to use them all. You can add others, of course, but we prefer if you keep your work pretty close to the original colours.

And the last challenge?
Chose ONE word that you'll live by during this year to come. Scrap it.
This is for your BoM so no cheating. No hubbies, children, pets or else.
It has to be a photo of YOU.
Apart from that - it's all up to you.

Have fun!
Mail the reults to me at inspirascrap at gmail dot com for a chance to appear on the blog.

Love/
Z
