Hi all!!

Have you missed us since last week? I am still in awe over the girls layouts from last week and I can tell you this much - this weeks layouts are equally awesome!

Late Wednesday update

Time for a sketch!

So you thought we'd abandoned you? No way! :D Here's a treat for you - coming all the way from England:



This week's sketch is made by Annika and the interpretations by Jeanette and Zarah herself - a sketch that looked "easy" from the beginning, but turned out to be harder than I thought. After some pulling out papers and decorations and shuffling them back and forth, I finished the LO, late last night - and I'm happy I took the time to do it. It reminds me of our beautiful wedding day and the love I feel for my husband, David.

Some inspiration?

Hi everybody!

To celebrate my first post in this blog I thought I'd share with you my version of one of Z's wonderful sketches in the previous post - I also found it appropriate to scrap about the brilliant blog owner, so without furter ado:



The title says "Concrete babe", and the text says "Behind her sunglasses she can be herself", which is very strange to translate into English, since it is a quote from a well-known Swedish pop song... ;)

I'm really looking forward to seeing YOUR interpretations of the sketches!

Happy New Year to you all!

I am gonna start this year with some good news.
Since I have been unable to keep this blog rolling and running the way I intended, I asked two of my very bestest of friends (and fave scrappers/card makers) to join me in keeping it going - aaaaand to my delight, they accepted!

So... give it up for Tettiz and DrAnnika (a.k.a Jeanette and Annika) who are my new co-authors of this blog!

To celebrate, here are two new sketches and two challenges to get you started with your Scrappy New Year.

Apart from my sketches (originally drawn as one for cards and one for LOs but that's up to you to interpret as you wish) you can see my photo of a willow, right? The colours were extracted from the photo using this brilliant web site, and I'd like for you to create a card or an LO or something altered using those colours.
No - you don't have to use them all. You can add others, of course, but we prefer if you keep your work pretty close to the original colours.

And the last challenge?
Chose ONE word that you'll live by during this year to come. Scrap it.
This is for your BoM so no cheating. No hubbies, children, pets or else.
It has to be a photo of YOU.
Apart from that - it's all up to you.

Sketch #31 and an announcement

Hello & happy Wednesday!
This is my 31's sketch for this blog, and this week it's been interpreted by Leonie and Jenny H - who both won a guest designer spot when I did the sketch challenge a while back.
Didn't they do a WONDERFUL job?! :D

Now - for the less fun news.
This will be the last sketch for a little while. The blog will be pretty silent for the rest of the year, most likely. I have stepped down from both my DT's temporarily and I felt that I have to give this a rest too. Nothing serious - I just have to take a vacation from all the scrappy responsibilities for a while.

I might sneak in a sketch or two somewhere, but if I do. it'll be a lot less scheduled.

It's Wednesday again and the winter is nagging at our toes. Or at least mine.
I thought I'd have this week's chosen LO fit the theme of winter, cosiness and indoor warmth, by showing you this pretty interpretation by Johanna.
Doesn't it just make you wanna curl up in a blanket and light some candles?

Sketch #28

Another Wednesday - another SKETCH!
This week, I have got no less than three beautiful LOs from two amazing ladies: Maja (the first LO) and Lynlee (the two following)!
Lynlee said I could choose. She was way wrong. How could I ever?!
So I added both her LOs.

These ladies were both in my challenge a while back, and I asked if they'd like to make an LO for me.
They did - which made me VERY happy.

I know it's Thursday, buuuut - since I happened to get Tammy Tutterow to do not only one but TWO sketches for me, I decided to put them both up pretty immediately.
(Can you blame me?! *grins*)
That woman is wicked talented - just look how different this LO is from the former - and how it still has that elegant flow to it!

I'd like to start this Wednesday early (it's just past midnight in Sweden, but I'm too jittery about this to wait any longer!...) by welcoming a fantastic guest artist onto the blog.
You see - I've managed to get none other than one of my biggest idols, the great Tammy Tutterow to design from my sketches!
Imagine my surprise and pride, when my mail came back with a positive reply!

So, I've caught the flu and I'm too tired to organize this post.
Therefore, I am instead gonna let YOU do the job.

Here's what you do:
Use the following sketch.
Make a card, something altered or an LO with it.
When you save your picture, make sure you name it 50. yourname_LO/cardname.
For example, I'd name one 50. Zarah_Light of my Life.

MAIL your entry to me at inspirascrap[@]gmail.com before Sunday 11:59am PST (remove the brackets) and hold off posting it until I have gotten back to you.

Not only will I showcase some of the entries - I will also pick one (or more) people to be my guest designers.

Sketch #22

This week, the sketch is a bit more freestyle - or clean if you will. There's a lot of room for personal interpretation (which I absolutely love and encourage!) as you can also see from the lovely LOs - made by my dear, wickedly talented friends Annika (the first one) and Sofie (the second one - and by the way, Fiffi, I'm still not sure it's legal, being as beautiful as you are!!... *smiles*).

A special sketch (#21)

A little while ago, I got this very sweet email from a super kind lady over at the Aussie shop & forum Country Papercraft. She asked me if they could use one of my sketches for their newsletter - and of course they could!
I actually thought they deserved a bit better than that - so I made a sketch for them, exclusively.

The newsletter (hey - start subbing - it's filled to the BRIM with awesome inspiration!! And check out that forum too, while you're at it!) is out now and I asked if I could show you all their amazing takes on the sketch on the blog, and they agreed!
